In October 2009, Airborne Composite Tubulars commences with the development, manufacturing and testing of a Thermoplastic Composite Pipe for Chevron USA. The project aims to prove and qualify the Thermoplastic Composite Pipe for a deepwater application. The TCP combines high internal and external pressure strength with tensile strength and spoolability. The project includes design and testing of the TCP. The manufacturing will take place in Airborne's facility in Ypenburg, The Netherlands.
